PhD Colloquium Call for Contributions

Call for Contributions Open!

On the 8th of July, the Monday prior to IPIC 2019, the second edition of the IPIC Doctoral Colloquium will take place. This new platform provides an excellent opportunity for PhD students to receive in-depth feedback on their (ongoing) research (proposals) from fellow students and leading academics in the field of Physical Internet. Master students that have conducted or are conducting their thesis research on the topic of the Physical Internet are also encouraged to participate.

The Doctoral Colloquium is a one-day event aimed at developing and mentoring students. During this colloquium, the submissions will be discussed, reflected upon, and further developed in an informal setting. You will be introduced to a variety of perspectives that can help strengthening and shaping your work as you progress towards your PhD degree, as well as to build a network of peers for your career.

Students who want to attend the Physical Internet Doctoral Colloquium are invited to submit a paper or a detailed research proposal. Prior to the colloquium, submissions are reviewed by senior researchers and fellow PhD students who will provide feedback and engage actively in the discussions during the event. For this reason, students submitting their work are asked to review papers of fellow students. On the day of the colloquium, you will present your paper in a targeted session with ample time for feedback and discussion. Additionally, there will be plenty of time available to exchange and connect with fellow PhD students and academics during the coffee breaks, a lunch, and a dinner.

The program allows for a limited number of presentations; if you are interested in presenting your work, please submit a paper by following the submission guidelines. Submissions will be selected by the colloquium committee based on their quality and fit.

Submissions* must be made on-line via
